Section 01

1. Acceptance & Scope of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the access to and use of the website operated by Gajjar Furniture("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), including online showroom browsing, digital quote requests, WhatsApp consultations, and all subsequent bespoke interior or handcrafted furniture contracts initiated through this platform.

By accessing this website, placing a consultation request, or engaging in a custom furniture commission, you ("Client" or "Customer") unconditionally agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any provision set forth herein, you must refrain from using our digital services and consulting channels.

Section 02

2. Handcrafted Nature & Natural Variations

At Gajjar Furniture, we celebrate authentic, organic materials. Every single piece is crafted by master artisans using genuine timber (primarily seasoned Burma Teak, natural veneers, and solid hardwoods), natural Italian and Indian marble, top-grain upholstery, and solid brass inlays.

Inherent Material Characteristics:

  • Wood Grain & Tonal Character: Variations in grain texture, growth rings, mineral streaks, and natural knot formations are intrinsic to genuine timber and shall not be deemed manufacturing defects.
  • Natural Marble Veining: Stone table tops feature organic veining patterns, micro-crystalline structures, and colour gradations that make every slab one-of-a-kind.
  • Hand-Finished Surfaces: Seven-layer hand-rubbed PU and oil finishes may exhibit subtle artisanal hand marks that distinguish genuine heirloom craftsmanship from mass factory laminates.
Section 03

3. Custom Sizing & CAD Approvals

To ensure bespoke furniture harmoniously fits your residence, our design team produces 2D architectural elevations and 3D joinery renders. Production strictly commences only after the client provides written or digital sign-off on:

  1. Outer bounding dimensions (Length, Width, Height, Depth, and Clearances).
  2. Selected timber species, veneer code, and finish sheen (Matte, Satin, or High Gloss).
  3. Upholstery fabric swatches, leatherette codes, and brass hardware specifications.

Dimensional Tolerance: Due to hand-planing and mortise-tenon carving, finished bespoke pieces may carry an acceptable artisanal tolerance of ±2mm to ±5mm.

Section 04

4. Quotations, Pricing & Payment Terms

Website catalog prices, where shown, represent standard base configurations. Custom modifications (resizing, rare timber upgrades, specialized upholstery) will be outlined in a formal written Proforma Invoice or Quote.

  • Quote Validity: Formal quotations remain valid for 30 calendar days due to fluctuations in raw timber and imported brass commodity markets.
  • Advance Deposit: A minimum 50% advance booking deposit is required to procure seasoned wood lots and begin carpentry framing.
  • Interim & Polishing Milestone: 40% payment is due upon client inspection of unfinished wood carcass/joinery prior to final PU finishing.
  • Final Balance: The remaining 10% balance must be settled prior to or upon completion of white-glove site delivery and installation.
Section 05

5. Manufacturing & Wood Seasoning Timelines

Genuine luxury woodwork cannot be hurried. Solid wood requires adequate acclimatization, kiln-drying (target moisture content 8% - 12%), and successive curing cycles between hand-rubbed oil coats.

Standard lead times range from 4 to 8 weeks depending on project scale, intricate carving details, and the quantity of bespoke articles. While we endeavor to meet estimated delivery dates, unforeseen delays resulting from timber curing necessities or force majeure will be promptly communicated.

Section 06

6. White-Glove Delivery & Site Inspection

All furniture is transported in multi-layered protective crate packaging (foam cushioning, bubble wrap, edge protectors, and wooden skeleton framing).

Site Readiness: The client is responsible for ensuring that civil construction, wet plastering, and floor tiling at the site are 100% complete and dry before delivery. High ambient moisture from wet walls can compromise furniture finishes.

Passage Clearance: The client must confirm that stairwells, doorways, and service elevators accommodate large monolithic pieces (e.g. 8-seater dining tables or 8-foot credenzas). Hoisting through balconies must be coordinated beforehand.

Installation Sign-off: Upon delivery and on-site positioning by our team, the client or authorized architect shall inspect the piece and sign the delivery verification docket.

Section 07

7. 10-Year Structural Warranty & Timber Care

Gajjar Furniture proudly warrants all solid wood structural frames and joinery for a period of ten (10) years from the date of handover against manufacturing defects, joint loosening, and termite infiltration in seasoned teak.

What is Excluded from Warranty:

  • Normal surface wear and tear, superficial scratches, and fabric/leather staining after handover.
  • Damage caused by placement under direct outdoor rainwater or continuous intense sunlight.
  • Use of harsh chemical detergents, bleach, or alcohol-based cleaners on hand-rubbed PU finishes.
  • Unauthorized modifications, repairs, or structural dismantling by third-party carpenters.
Section 08

8. Custom Order Cancellation & Return Policy

Because bespoke furniture is uniquely hand-tailored to specific architectural layouts, dimensions, and client preferences, custom commissioned articles cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged once raw timber has been precision-cut.

  • Cancellation within 48 Hours: If a client requests cancellation before CAD drawings or wood selection begins, the booking deposit will be refunded subject to a 10% administrative consultation fee.
  • After Timber Cutting: Advance deposits are non-refundable as raw materials and artisan labor have been specifically allocated to the commission.
  • Transit Damage: In the rare event of transit damage noted during white-glove uncrating, our master artisans will repair, refurbish, or replace the damaged element at no additional cost.
Section 09

9. Intellectual Property & Proprietary Designs

All photographs, 3D renders, architectural drawings, carving motifs, logos, and digital text displayed on this website are the proprietary intellectual property of Gajjar Furniture and are protected under Indian Copyright and Trademark laws.

Commercial reproduction, copying of our fluted credenza silhouettes, or unauthorized use of our portfolio imagery without prior written authorization is strictly prohibited and subject to legal recourse.

Section 10

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service, along with any separate agreements for bespoke manufacturing, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the execution of custom woodwork shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
